Eileen Clarke started dancing at age five and became a champion Irish step dancer in her youth. After moving on to other styles of dance, she took her first ballroom dancing class while at Boston University and has been hooked ever since. While she worked for many years as an entertainment journalist, editing and writing about popular culture and children’s entertainment, Eileen is very happy to bring her love of dance to the front burner. In addition to being a Teaching Artist for Dancing Classrooms Long Island since 2009, Eileen is an Educational Liaison. She teaches flamenco to children in Long Beach and performs throughout Long Island with the troupe Flamenco Fiesta.
